Pink Panther Club Visits Houston Food Bank

Pink Panther Club at Houston Food BankSaturday, November 5 the Pink Panther Club of Carver High helped out in a big way. We had the pleasure of working at the Houston Food Bank. There were about 12 students on hand to volunteer. A few members missed out as they were taking SAT's or  in the theater production. If you have ever volunteered at the Food Bank you will know that there is plenty of opportunities to show your support. The Pink Panthers' task was to re-box/unload 5,000lbs of apples in 4hrs from 6 huge bins into smaller more manageable boxes to later be distributed to elementary schools. Needless to say, they did an outstanding job....even finished early. The students earned community service hours and once again learned the importance of helping others. They worked in an ice box wearing big coats. While there, we saw another Carver Panther (Caroline Treviso) who just happened to be there volunteering on her own.
