Anthony Watkins - Principal

Anthony Watkins was named principal of Carver High School after serving as principal at Hall Center for Education and an assistant principal at Eisenhower High School. Watkins received his bachelor’s degree in physical education in 1991 from McMurry University and in 2008 he received his master’s degree in administration from Prairie View A&M University. He is certified as a principal. He began his educational career as a high school English teacher at Brownfield ISD in 1991. A year later, he moved to Abilene ISD to assume the role of physical education teacher and coach. In 1994, he transferred to Abilene Cooper High School where he served as a health and physical education teacher, coach and department chair. He joined Aldine ISD in 2002 as a health teacher and head girls’ basketball coach at Eisenhower High School. He moved into his position as an assistant principal at Eisenhower High School in 2010 followed by being named principal at Hall Center for Education in 2014. Watkins has 24 years of experience in the field of education and he has spent 13 of those years with Aldine ISD. 

Daniel Blanson - Curriculum Administrator


Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Instruction

Masters of Education in Administration from Prairie View A &m University
Responsibilities include: Support and appraisal of personnel, Develop and Maintain Master Schedule, Staff Development, Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) Coordinator, and Administrator for the Special Education Department.

Eric Coleman - Administrator

 Assistant Principal: Eric Coleman has served in Aldine District for 25 years and as an assistant principal at Carver Magnet High School since 1995. He served as a Mathematics teacher for 6 years at G. W. Carver(Aldine Contemporary Center). He has received his B.S. in Secondary Education and M.Ed in Educational Administration from Prairie View A&M University.

LaKeshia Williams - Administrator

LaKeshia Williams has been in Aldine ISD for 6 years and has been in education for 12 years. She began her career in HISD at Sam Houston High School as a biology teacher. Before becoming an administrator Mrs. Williams worked at Eisenhower High School and Davis 9th grade as a science skills specialist. She has a B.S. in Biology and a Masters in Education Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University. As a Carver Panther it is her hope to ensure that all students are given the tools they need to be successful after high school. 

Phyllis Brown - Counselor 


Phyllis Brown has been with Aldine ISD for 18 years, 10 years as a Mathematics teacher and 8 years as a High School Counselor. She has been at Carver Magnet High School since 2007. She attended Prairie View A&M University earning a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science and a Master of Science in Mathematics. She is certified in Mathematics and Counseling.

Isabella Ontiveros - Counselor 
Isabella Ontiveros graduated in 1998 from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and in 2001 with a Master of Arts in Counseling. After graduate school Ms. Ontiveros worked as an academic advisor at Kingwood College. After completing her alternative teaching certification through Region 4 she began teaching in Aldine I.S.D. at Vines EC/Pre-K Center. Ms. Ontiveros then taught in San Antonio for 7 years before coming back to Stephens Elementary in Aldine I.S.D. in 2009. She has been the Visual Arts Counselor at Carver Magnet High School since 2010.

 Tanika Brooks - Counselor

Tanika Brooks received her Bachelor of Science degree in education from Prairie View A&M University in 1998, and her master’s degree in Guidance Counseling from the same institution in 2002. She began her teaching career in 1998 in Houston Independent School District (H.I.S.D) at The Contemporary Learning Center where she taught Biology for four years. In 2002, she moved to Scarborough HS where she served as a Biology instructor, Head Coach of the girls’ track and field team, and the assistant girls’ basketball coach. In 2006, she began her teaching career in Aldine ISD at G. W. Carver Magnet High School continuing in the Biology curriculum. After spending five additional years in the classroom adding Science Skills Specialist to her list of accomplishments, Mrs. Brooks was appointed to the position of Counselor of the Engineering strand in 2014. Mrs. Brooks has 17 years of experience in education, eight of which have been served in Aldine I.S.D.
