La'Jasha Champion placed 1st in Computer Modeling. She had to design, draw and develop a statue to commemorate the Boston Marathon. The judging is done in two processes: First, she had the technical side of the project to develop and define for the judges and then she had the presentation portion, which is before three graphic design experts. La'Jasha worked hard every day after school for the last few weeks to perfect her design and presentation. Her work paid off when they called her name and awarded her top honors for her work.
This is a testament to how each of our programs can support all of our students. La'Jasha is an Art student who is enrolled in Business Information Management classes. She found a place to fit in and took the opportunity to excel. Congratulations to her for a job well done!
La'Jasha will be advancing to Boston, Massachusetts in early May. If you see her, let her know how proud we are of her accomplishments!
BPA - Texas is one of the largest delegations in the United States. They have approximately 4000 competitors at the State Leadership Conference which is almost as large as the National Leadership Conference. So it is very, very difficult to make the top of the list and advance to Nationals.
