I am excited to be the Principal of Carver Magnet High School, known as The Panther Den. My leadership journey started at this campus six years ago, and I am proud to return as the principal. I have been blessed to be a teacher, instructional specialist, assistant principal, curriculum assistant principal, and now a principal. These last 18 years have flown by as my educational journey has taken me through Sam Houston High School, Eisenhower High School, and Davis 9th and HS. I am dedicated to providing an environment where students receive what they need for a future full of choices and opportunities. Before they leave Carver High School, every scholar will know what it means to be a Panther.
Mr. Richardson grew up in Nicholl’s Town, Andros Bahamas, but upon moving to Texas, settled in the Acres Homes community and is proud to say that the 4-4 has helped shape him into the man that he is today. His passion for molding young minds to succeed has led him over the past 18 years to serve as a mathematics teacher, a Multilingual Programs specialist and to serve as a Program Manager for the mentoring of young men of color. Additionally, he has served 5 years in the US Marine Corps Reserves as well as graduating from Prairie View A&M University with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a M.S in Community Development.
Twenty years ago, Ms. Brown started her career volunteering with an organization focused on mentoring “at-risk” youth. She continued this work as a camp counselor through the YMCA’s summer teen camp program before committing full time as an English teacher in Galena Park ISD. After ten years, she moved to Sheldon ISD, and later to Aldine ISD to begin her leadership journey. Ms. Brown is entering her 18th year in public education, her sixth in Aldine, and still considers impacting lives every day an honorable service she is genuinely happy to perform.
