Art Department and Theatre Department had students participate in the 2026 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. This is the longest-running national contest for creative teens, and well-known artists and writers such as Andy Warhol and Amanda Gorman participated when they were in high school.

We are excited to share that several of our students received recognition in the Art and Writing categories this year. Their creativity, effort, and dedication to their work truly stood out.

Scholastic Art & Writing Awards (National/Texas): Founded in 1923, this prestigious national program has regional affiliates across Texas, such as the Harris County Department of Education, which has fostered young talent for decades and sends Gold Key winners to national adjudication.
