Carver competed in the 14-6A District Spring Meet at Dekaney High School—and the results can be summed up simply: Carver doing Carver things! For the second consecutive year, we brought home the District Sweepstakes title.

This marks the first time in over a decade that a single school in our UIL district has achieved a full sweep:

  • 1st Place Speech (back-to-back champions)
  • 1st Place Journalism
  • 1st Place Sweepstakes (back-to-back champions)

Students placing 1st through 3rd individually have qualified for Regionals, while those placing 4th through 6th earned positions as Regional Alternates. These outstanding competitors will travel to Waco to compete at the Region 2-6A Meet on April 24–25 at Baylor University.

Although team competitions will not advance to Waco, we are proud to recognize the following teams for their strong performances:
